OVG360, the provider of Venue Management to the Owensboro Convention Center, is taking inspiration from October and serving up some foodie fun!
Just in time for cooler weather and the craving for comfort food, October is National Chili Month! Beginning this Friday and every Friday throughout the month, a different chili will be featured as the Soup of the Day at the Kentucky Legend Café. Guests are invited to come and try them all!
Friday, October 7 – Moonlite Chili with Beans
Friday, October 14 – White Chicken Chili – Tender chicken, white beans, onions, and tomatoes are simmered in a chili-infused broth with hints of cilantro oregano and a splash of lime juice. The result is white chili with a touch of sophistication sure to please the palate.
Friday, October 21 – Red Canyon Chili – A tantalizing chili filled with thick chunks of seasoned beef beans diced tomatoes onions and peppers in a rich tomato base bursting with flavor for a spicy blend of seasonings.
Friday, October 28 – Chili Con Carne – Seasoned red beans, roasted beef, Spanish onions, and diced tomatoes slowly simmered in an authentic tomato-chili broth finished with chili powder, garlic, cayenne, and paprika.
Nothing pairs better with something hearty than something sweet! Starting today, purchase an Otis Spunkmeyer Strawberry Shortcake Cookie for $1 at the Kentucky Legend Café to benefit a local breast cancer program. The cookies will be available through October 31st. Please note no additional discounts allowed.
