Join us for the 2026 Income Tax Seminar offered by the University of Kentucky Income Tax Seminar Program, part of the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment (M-G CAFE) Department of Agricultural Economics, provide continuing education to CPAs, Certified Financial Planners, attorneys, insurance agents, IRS enrolled agents and tax preparers.
For 58 years the UK Income Tax Seminar Program has delivered timely, high-quality training to tax professionals in Kentucky. Our continuing education credits are accepted by the Certified Financial Planners Board of Standards, the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy, the Kentucky State Board of Accountancy, the Internal Revenue Service, the Kentucky Department of Insurance, and the Kentucky Bar Association.
This two-day intermediate seminar provides comprehensive information and valuable updates that will prepare you to file 2026 returns. Topics to be covered include ethics, trusts and estates, LLCs, individual tax issues, business taxes, retirement, investments and savings, agricultural and natural resources, IRS issues, and new and expiring legislation, including the 2025 tax bill. After completing this course, you will be able to identify federal and state tax law updates for the coming year, effectively and accurately complete business and individual tax returns, communicate to clients how life changes may affect their tax situations, answer tax questions and resolve the tax problems that arise in everyday business and personal transactions, and recognize the legal tax deductions and exemptions businesses and individuals may claim.

Seminar Schedule: All times are local
Sign-in begins at 7:45 a.m. Instruction begins at 8:00 a.m. and concludes at 5:00 p.m with a one-hour lunch break. Instruction is broken down into 50 to 90 minute sections by topic with 10-minute breaks. Refreshments are served during morning and afternoon breaks and lunch is on your own.
