The award-winning Owensboro Convention Center has been host to several different types of sporting events, including the ACO World Championships of Cornhole, Greater Ohio Valley Pickleball Invitational, Premier Professional Martial Arts Conference Tournaments, Wrestling Nationals, Cheer and Dance Competitions, and Archery Tournaments.

The venue also has new movable sports floor and equipment that was funded by a partnership between Owensboro Health, Daviess County Fiscal Court, and the City of Owensboro. Events that can be hosted include basketball (four courts), volleyball (nine courts), and futsal (four courts).
