Oak View Group, venue management for the Owensboro Convention Center, is proud to announce that Exhibitor Group has named the venue a 2027 Centers of Excellence Award Winner. The annual awards program recognizes the industry’s top convention centers for their commitment to delivering exceptional experiences for exhibitors, event organizers, and attendees.
“This recognition means a great deal because it includes feedback from those who use our building,” said Jeff Esposito, General Manager of the Owensboro Convention Center. “Our team works hard to make hosting and exhibiting here a smooth experience. Earning a place among these 25 venues reflects that work and our clients’ trust.”
Facilities were evaluated based on a range of operational and service criteria, including venue amenities, exhibitor support, innovation, and customer feedback. The assessment also incorporated survey responses from event planners, show organizers, and exhibit managers who recently hosted or participated in events at each facility. Based on those results, the 25 highest-scoring venues earned recognition as EXHIBITOR Magazine Centers of Excellence.
“The convention centers on our list earned their place by taking an active role in an event’s success. They provide operational excellence, outstanding service, and modern solutions that serve both exhibitors and show organizers,” said Emily Olson, editor of EXHIBITOR magazine. “This year’s Centers of Excellence honorees have proven their ability to consistently exceed customer expectations.”
The winning venues are featured in a special supplement in the October/November 2026 issue of EXHIBITOR, as well as on the online portal where readers can learn more about each of the facilities that qualified for this honor. The portal enables face-to-face marketers to quickly and easily research potential event venues and learn more about the convention centers hosting the trade shows and exhibitions on their annual calendars.
