Oak View Group, venue management for the Owensboro Convention Center, is proud to announce Paws for a Cause – a pet supplies drive to benefit local animal shelters. Beginning today through Friday, October 24, the community is encouraged to bring in a donation of pet food, treats, toys, or other supplies to the Owensboro Convention Center. Donation boxes will be set up near the front desk inside the lobby and will be collected during normal business hours from 9am to 5pm Monday – Friday.

As a sweet treat, donors will receive a voucher for a free chocolate chip cookie sandwich from the Kentucky Legend Café located inside the Owensboro Convention Center. The Café is open 10am to 2pm Monday – Friday and during special events.
“We’re thrilled to support the shelters that do so much for animals in our community,” said General Manager, Jeff Esposito. “We hope our friends and neighbors will join us in making some tails wag across Owensboro!”
At the conclusion of the drive, the Convention Center team will deliver the donations to area shelters, including the Owensboro Humane Society, It Takes a Village, and SPARKY. Team members also plan to spend time walking dogs who are waiting for their forever homes.
